Painting the master bedroom

Thankfully Sandy came out and helped do a full cleaning of the house before we got started moving.  So our home is fully clean and we are ready to do what we want with the house.  I had previously came in before we moved and painted our walk in closet and our food pantry.  I knew I would most likely not want to empty them anytime soon, so it was the perfect opportunity to get it over with now.  Since the closets now had a fresh coat of white paint my next project became the master bedroom.  I decided to go with a gray blue color.  I needed something that both Justin and I could agree on.  Justin forbids anything remotely girly, so gray-blue it is.  As I got going this is what I saw….

I started to get a little worried.  The color on the paint swatch looked a little less blue.   I even bought a small sample and put the color on the wall in a small area.  It was starting to look like baby blue, not my favorite of colors.  I continued to paint and hoped it would grow on me.

It started to look a little better to me once it was drying.  I think the sun shining on the other wall distorted the color a bit and scared me.  Charlie just had to be in the room while I painted.

I am actually in this picture… see the top of my head?

It was dark by the time I finished, but I ended up loving the color.  Thank god.
